Rail trail Wolverton to Newport Pagnell.

A severe chicane breaks the universal yellow bollards regime on the Milton Keynes redway network, where a steep descent meets a road.

Chicane on the footway and a bypass through the vegetation.

Chicane to stop cyclists using this arm of the paths from the cycle bridge over the A5.

Chicane on a steep drop from the footway to the road at Primrose Road, Bradwell, Milton Keynes

The footpath behind the camera has a steep drop directly on a road, hence this severe chicane to encourage cyclists to use the road route.

Milton Keynes’ redway system, but very disappointed to see punitive chicanes here.

Road closure in Milton Keynes - no idea why it had to be blocked to cyclists too.

Chicane to help enforce the diverted cycle route around CMK.

It's hard to see in this photo but in the distance there are many pedestrian barriers used as chicanes to deter cycling on this former bike route into CMK.

There's a good reason why this is not a cycle route.

Don't bother taking your bike this way because you'll have to carry it over a stepped bridge across the railway.

The chicanes here are to dissuade cyclists from the steep bank just after, and that is probably a good thing and anyway there is quite a good nearby alternative just a little further.

Really, what is the point of all this nonsense? Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes - entrance to a skateboarding area. See #47981.

Chicane on the Milton Keynes redway system - dunno why the yellow posts that are normally used have been taken away here. See #154205.

These yellow posts are a distinctive feature of the Milton Keynes redway system - crossing a residential road here.
